Not your mama’s Sloppy Joes

Decided to make these sloppy joe sliders for the family tonight! We don’t eat onions around here. These are toddler approved, John ate all the meat out of his😊

Ingredients Sloppy Joe :

  • 1lb ground beef

  • 1 package of Hawaiian rolls (Brioche buns would probably be amazing )

  • 1 cup ketchup

  • 1tbsp mustard

  • 1tbsp brown sugar

  • minced garlic (unless you have time for the real stuff)

  • 2 tsp Worcestershire

  • salt and pepper

  • 1cup water

  • cheese- if you prefer


Ingredients Glaze:

  • 3tbsp butter

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • Couple shakes ofEverything but bagel seasoning

  • 1tbsp brown sugar


Directions:

  1. preheat oven to 350

  2. brown your meat , add garlic, salt & Pepper

  3. In bowl combine your sauce : ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, and Worcestershire

  4. When meat is browned, add in the sauce and 1 cup water to the pan, stir and cook on high until it boils then simmer until thick/sloppy joe like consistency

  5. Slice rolls and place in a 9x13 casserole dish

  6. layer bottom roll with cheese then sloppy joe meat, and place your top bun

  7. Make your glaze: Melt butter and mix in: dijon mustard, everything but bagel seasoning, & brown sugar.

  8. Spread your glaze on top of the sloppy joe rolls and cook uncovered for 15-20 minutes
